Home of the Rice Plate : One town in Karnataka accounts for nearly all of south Indian restaurateurs. Vir Sanghvi visits this temple town of Udupi and the Mangalore backwaters. From the rice plate where it all began to the seafood of the local fishermen, this is truly the food of legends.
