Jacek, a pimply youth, hires a taxi, directing the driver to a remote location before brutally murdering him. Piotr, an idealistic lawyer, defends the boy at his trial, delivering an impassioned speech, but fails to shield the youth from the death penalty. Winner of the Jury and FIPRESCI Prizes at the Cannes Film Festival in 1988. Directed by Krzysztof Kieslowski and stars Miroslaw Baka, Krzysztof Globisz and Jan Tesarz.
